Last week rescuers at Dallas Dog RRR saw a post of a puppy abandoned in a sugar cane field. This is the same place where another dog was dumped just days before. They sent out a volunteer to save her life.
She is skin and bones and has been starved. She is very dehydrated and extremely anemic. She had an initial evaluations by a local vet and was stable enough to be transferred to Dallas to a specialty veterinarian.
Today she arrived in Dallas and she has a name for the first time in her life. She is Roxy! Roxy is at the specialty clinic now getting a blood panel and starting the process of saving her life! Dallas Dog RRR specializes in saving the dogs most nonprofits could not.
Roxy is currently receiving antibiotics, and some supplements. We will know more once her tests results come in. Right now we are here to help Dallas Dog RRR cover her emergency vetting. This will cost hundreds of dollars and that something DDRRR does not have.
Urgent Update 10/5/19: She has NO muscle mass, she is not able stand on her own. While her rescue rushed Roxy to the ER her temperature dropped to. 97.8. They did blood work and it was ok, but she has hookworms.
