Sox was shot with an ARROW and left for dead.
Just when you think you have seen the worst of what humanity is capable a case like this comes in a reminds us just how important our work is. What you see his is disturbing and I warn you it is graphic. In New Iberia, Louisiana Sox, a playful 3-year-old feline, came home Saturday night after being shot with a bow an arrow. Some awful and sick human used her as target practice then left her to die with no care. We have created this campaign to help our friends at The Humane Society of Louisiana raise the funds needed for Sox care.
The arrow entered near Sox's rib cage and exited her backside. In a true miracle the arrow missed all major organs and arteries, which would have likely caused her death. Sox was immediately rushed to the Emergency Vet for life saving care.
First she had to be stabilized and then doctors went to work removing the arrow. They were shocked by what they saw. Frankly we are too. Our friends at THSL are raising funds to pay for her medical bills and we have created the animal saving candles and shirts below to help. Now, we are pleading for your help. Please know that the local sheriff's department is investigating this horrible abuse. Now we are focused on saving her life.
We have partnered with The Humane Society of Louisiana to create the animal saving candles and apparel you see below. With every purchase you help give Sox the life saving care she desperately needs. She will never feel pain again.
Humane Society of Louisiana
Our humane society was established in 1988. We operate two no-kill sanctuary: one for companion animals and one for farm animals. We are also a private detective agency, licensed by the state and one of our primary activities is to investigate cruelty to animal complaints. We work directly with dozens of law enforcement agencies on a regular basis, providing tips and logistical support, especially in the rural areas of Louisiana, where there are few resources for animals.
